I flew into London City airport, and was at the site in like 30 minutes. Which was awesome! It was nice soft grass, nearby hotels were cheap, plenty of bars and places to eat within a 5 minute drive of the place.

Where can they put a tournament in London? There's parks by Twickenham, or would people want to roll up to Hyde Park because it's closer to the pub.

And yea it's not Barcelona. It's 100km south west in Salou. I mean you fly INTO barcelona but then you hop a train or drive.

Or is the salou venue a sign of things to come just thinking out loud but do any of the London football clubs have a comparable training venue even if its in the suburbs somewhere inside the m25

Given that the Mills are the European tranche of the late WPBO, why does a couple of American teams pulling out affect us anyway? surely it just creates a gap for European/ Russian (and anywhere in-between) to fill.

Not really sure why the Americans are bullying the Mills organizers to shift location, as well as now the NXL chucking their toys out the pram over the WPBO

They're already short 2 teams, and the US/Canadian teams add a lot of value to the Millennium brand as a truly international series.

Basvegas seems a pretty solid location, and I'm not sure the Americans have thought about just how much city hotels would be! Possibly they're thinking somewhere closer to Heathrow/South West though.

Mills might struggle to be able to use a football field in July - a lot of clubs would be starting their pre-season around then, or at least gearing up for it and wouldn't want the pitches damaged.

what?? seriously? what did they expect? to be playing on tower bridge whilst the queen watched over and the red arrows flew overhead at every game change?
This^^

I love how this unification happens, and if they don't get their way, they just stick up the middle finger and say 'we're doing our own thing' after everyone spent a long time making the WPBO rules, bunker changes, new systems etc and forced site owners to buy the new bunkers (which no one wanted to do). What is stopping the mills from doing the same and keeping the M and spikes, making the field updates worthless?
Time will tell!

Yup, yup & Yup.

There are alternate venues, and accommodation will likely be more. Though one of the biggest complaints from the MS board was the increase in hotel rates in Basildon around CC. Though this has been pretty much debunked by anyone not staying on Festival Park.
