  • PMR09 is a good marker, and the UL board it comes with will let you keep up to date with any rule changes. We're going to a tourney in Bricket Wood on the 23rd (potentially stay over the night before on the 22nd as it's the last event of the season), and if we have car space you're welcome to tag along.
Okay, before you buy ANYTHING, I recommend you buy a good mask. If budget is an issue, the classifieds section on this forum has saved me hundreds of £££ so check there. I recommend JT proflex masks for comfort and customizeability, or Empire E-vents for style and low profile (best if you have a smaller face). You can get either of those for under £40 on here. What marker you get depends on your overall budget, but it's certainly not your most important piece of equipment. You'll also need to factor in the cost of an air bottle and loader. For a cheap setup, including mask, loader, air and marker you'd be spending between £200-250 depending on your choices. Good websites to look at are LiPS ( www.lpspaintball.biz ) Planet Eclipse ( www.planeteclipse.com ) Slothball ( www.slothball.com/ ) Fatbobs ( www.fatbobspaintball.co.uk ) Phoenix ( http://www.p8ntonline.com/ ) and Warped ( http://www.paintball-equipment-online.co.uk/ ). Warped are the closest as they are based in Wolverhampton. I suggest posting up your budget in the newbies section of the forum saying you're looking to get kitted up, and you'll get lots more good advice. And people will get to know ya :)
Hey Dave, welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of good advice here on places to 'ball/people to play with/upcoming events/ tips and tricks/kit advice/etc so peruse at will. I'll keep you updated as to when we'll start running events or even socials you can attend. Later bro, have fun!
