Does the missing rip drive impact on the quality of the Empire B or not? Also, is the other Empire B loose if the screws don't work properly? Just wondering because I fancy getting one of these

The rip drive is the wheel underneath the back half of the hopper that allows you to manually rotate the feed assembly inside the hopper in the event of a ball getting stuck and jamming up the hopper. You can also use it to manually feed a stack of balls into the feedtube in the event of your battery running out.
I've never had to clear a jam but i have used the Rip drive to manually feed balls during a game after i'd been tight and decided not to change the batteries in my hopper at the start of the tournament. Useful, but not essential. You can make a new wheel from a Poker Chip or any rigid disc that you can make a hole in or i'm sure you can pick up a new wheel for a couple of magic beans.
On the blue/black one:
I haven't had a problem with it at all. It isn't loose. I just wanted to be up front that the previous owner told me that there was something wrong with it. I don't generally mess around with my kit. If it works, it works!
