Hi Dazzer, another one if you just want to get started along side the Rail would be something like an Ion, you can still get spares as i believe the SP8 which is still being sold has the same internals.Correct me if i'm wrong guys.
From personal experience like most of the guys said, Planet Eclipse ETEK/Ego's are great markers, they just work!
I always found DM's great to shoot but if you have an issue you can be scratching your head for a while, fix it and still notbe sure what you've done to fix it. lol.

A good one mentioned earlier would be the Planet Eclipse Etha, it a tourney style but you can pick up a body kit for it to make it more milsim if you prefer the look.

Hope it helps you with your purchase.

Ego's are fairly bullet proof which is what you want really, if your only going six times a year you don't want to pull it out of the bag and spend half your day fixing it.

i no some of the early egos are getting hard to get parts for as a lot of the old guns i was thinking on getting a a4 fly but spares are avalible but for how long was just thinking ion because it was a cheap marker new so second hand they should not be over expensive used to play years ago so looking after a marker is not a prob just didnt want to tie up loads of money

Literally just put what is wanted in the thread title and people will reply if they can help. You'll be surprised what people have on here, some very helpful folk indeed. :)

Some of the Ego 05/06's are becoming a little difficult but 07/08 will be fine to source

I think Big_Jim has the answer for you, for the few times your going to use it, your better off using a site gun ?
as for the Smart Part Ion`s ? I would have thought most people would have dumped them by now other than a few die hards that`ll tell you they are better than anything else,
tourney guns = have a look at what I and many others would consider to be the most underated gun out there = AXE.
