WHY ARE DROP FORWARDS out of favour.

My lad came to me and said like my marker Dad, big bottle is great but shouldering it I am kinda long way from it, I preferred your red marker [old e blade with flame drop] can I have a drop please.
Nope old skool nobody does that set up anymore,,,,

WHY

Deadly silence from Dad,,,,,,,,,,,

So what happened was it paintball herd effect or were there technical reasons that I have long since forgotten,,,,,

Bottle technology advanced and they got smaller with the same capacity = no need for drop forwards

you can't run&gun.

if you want to run&gun you need your gun out in front of you, not sitting on your shoulder like a parrot. Dynasty changed it all. Drop forwards were on every gun until Dynasty asked for 'drop backs' so that they could run&gun more accurately. Everybody followed. It happened so quickly that nearly every paintball store in the World still has drop forwards in stock that they can't sell. They literally stopped selling overnight. Most stores will still have at least one 'flame' version, in chrome....

More choice on bottle sizes etc, adjustable rails etc, and following the herd

Cover changed as well, nowadays you can press your barrel into the side of an inflatable which offers quite large cover, as opposed to hiding behind a small solid pallet or bit of pipe.

Find a z framed may for your son!

Ha remember those black pipes,,,,then bunkers with trip hazards attached,,,,good stuff folks talked him around, Dynasty running and gunning that was it, oh and didn't peeps cradle the bottle rather than hold the reg, fulcrum effect the marker was not stable.

err sock hat, got me,,,, beanies with tails?, I have know idea, remember a chap who played in a jester hat bells and all, at campaign cup think crystal palace or was it Richmond RC, JT slammer again no idea, [ regards to hammer may be] but do have JT5 with electro trigger had a voice prompt doesn't work now but still goes bang, very loudly...
