For me its a combination of time and money. At the most i could do 12 walk ons a year if I had the time. Sadly due to other hobbies and commitments this isn't always the case. After some serious thought I have decided its best i throw in the towl and but the revenue towards the hobbies that take up more of my time.

I was pretty late coming into the game, and already twenty four back in 1988. Quit playing in the late 90's when tournaments moved from woodsball to supair. Got back into it in 2005 and have played regularly since. I've even started to get into the supair scene a bit more this season. I turned 50 this year and now finding it a lot harder to stay game fit. I do play other sports like badminton as well which helps, but I've decided to keep paintballing while I'm physically able to enjoy it.

I've been a left leg below knee amputee since 1983, and my remaining good leg has taken a real pounding over the years. The right knee and ankle in particular are well knackered, so guess I'm playing on borrowed time now.

Didn't know that, you've been on here for years too. Heh, you learn something every day!

The way I see it is, you don’t have to give up on paintball altogether. Just take some time off and you will soon start to miss it!
Speaking from my own experience, had played non-stop 7 years after which I took around three years off before getting back on it a few months back!
