I suppose those types of rounds would be handy in a zombie apocalypse. I must admit they do sound a tad overkill to be shot from a revolver, they look like they would put a shotgun to shame.

Exactly. It's just a total waste of cash. A 9mm in the head makes someone just as dead, and you don't have to worry about the round exiting the skull and travelling another 2km in an unknown direction. Revolvers are a solid Zombie tool because they can't really break down. It's the most reliable handgun you can own. Still don't want one though... 6 rounds....

But look at this from a survivalist's point of view, at least with that bad boy if you run out of ammo you could still use it as a club. I would feel mildly inconvenienced if someone whacked me round the head with a glock, whereas a large magnum would still do some damage! :p

I like to think i'm prepared if something like that happens, i have weapons, from knifes to crossbows to blunt weapons and sticks with nails in (very effective), but i haven't really thought about other stuff, like power, water filtration, but i live by the sea so i would probably try and get a boat. but the other problem with that is that i wouldn't want to steal a boat until there was actual anarchy by which time the actual owners would probably have taken them, but other than that i would probably kill to protect my (actual) friends and family.

also if could get my hand on a gun it would probably be a 1911 cause they take standard 9mm which would probably be the most common round around. and they're difficult to break if you treat it well. but i wouldnt be too choosy :)

Sub-Quarter-MOA shooting. 200m using Nosler Varmageddon .223 ammo. Best I've shot so far. All within the diameter of an eyeball.
