Thinking of buying one for the bike and maybe some other stuff, but really don't know what's what and what's good. Anyone got any ideas or info that they'd care to share? Anything I should look for?

I use a Drift HD 1080p on the bike (track days) but not for paintball. Really pleased with performance so far, but user manual is a bit crap to be honest. Was looking to buy the replay 1080 xd or even this as a cheaper backup, and give the option for multiple angles in one session

The usual suspect, GoPro, is an option as well. Good thing about those is that they are easy to find, relatively cheap and there are a sh*tload of goodies available for it, like protective cases that will stop a paintball from blowing it to sh*t.
I use a Go pro 2 and 3. Whilst these are a little bulky I have found them quite robust and also use for skiing.
I think with all these cameras its all about your own preference. If you are going to mount on your bike then a gopro may be your best option for positioning.

I've had a ReplayXD 1080 for about a year and have been pretty damn satisfied with it. I love how compact it is and how the form factor is very well suited to gun and goggle mounting. I generally record in 1080p 30fps because YouTube doesn't do higher than 30 and I prefer the bump in resolution. The camera has been hard as nails, worked in all weather conditions without a hitch at taken a number of hits without a problem.
My only issue has been the limited battery life, on a single charge it'll only get 60-90mins of recording time which isn't really enough for a typical walk-on or scenario event. And as the battery is not swapable I do have to rely on using a USB battery pack to charge between games, which is a bit of a fiddle

Just picked up the new budget (£99.99) GoPro Hero last week,first impressions are pretty positive so far,doesn't have the bells or whistles of the much more expensive Hero2 or 3 but you get a good solid camera for the money with better image & sound quality that the Chinese Gopro copy's selling at a similiar price points.
