Apologies for the late write up, but here it is, finally!

There are so many folks we'd like to thank for their assistance across the entire weekend (and the weeks running up to it!), so more apologies in advance for anyone we may have missed out. But firstly, the scores:

Scottish Votes: 173
English Votes: 333

Scottish Slapstick Votes: 87
English Slapstick Votes: 117

Scottish Heads Captured: 12 + 2 Gold Heads
English Heads Captured: 0 + 0 Gold Heads

Ultimate Head Captured By: N/A
----------------
Scottish Total: 260
English Total: 670

SO IT'S A VICTORY TO THE ENGLISH!

First and foremost, Prozone would like to thank Ged Green and Willie McPhelim for their amazing jobs as generals for the English and Scots, respectively, as well as their understudies who kept their teams alive and spawning throughout the day!

Another thanks goes out to Simon Cole of Maxs Paintball, as well as Paul Banks from BZ Paintball, both for providing the players of SvE with a huge variety of goodies for purchase through the weekend. And to Mrs T's Takeaway for keeping the players and staff fed throughout the weekend.

Further thanks goes out to Dave George (and his many assistants) running the Paintballers4Kids stand across the weekend and raising over £300!

More thanks to Gaz Jones for running the Saturday Sup'Air Workshop and also to Jay Garcia for his CQB Training Workshop in our Killhouse.

Thanks also goes to 12 year old, Finlay Pattison (and his dad, Gassy!) of Catshack Reports for all his amazing photos of our weekend!

And not forgetting a HUGE thanks to the refs of Prozone for keeping check on the games throughout Friday to Sunday, and running themselves ragged about the field, delivering votes!

Lastly, but by no means least, a massive thanks to EVERYONE who attended our event this weekend. Without all you folks, these events wouldn't be able to go ahead. And we also thank you all for being good little English and Scotsmen, and NOT causing riots in the car park.

THANKS, THANKS, THANKS AND SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!

@MadmanTMH have you got the numbers of English and Scottish that played? (hoping they'll go some way to justifying the apparent slaughter of the Scots).

Taz has the lists of English/Scottish players somewhere about. Bit of a whirlwind since we got back, so gathering stuff together still. :p

My own personal opinion, though? Yeeeeah, I'd say the English had a few extra players than the Scots, BUT not by a huge amount. We had a huge influx of bookings just before the weekend, from the Scots, and we shuffled one or two teams to the Scottish to even it up further, so things weren't astoundingly one sided.

Main reason I see for the "slaughter" (being as I was the Poll Marshall for Polling Station 1), was the Scots not taking advantage of BOTH of their respawn HQs and choosing to revive at the same one throughout the day. Honestly, when the Scots did clash at my polling station with the English, they fought damn hard and managed to get quite a lot more votes into Polling Station 1. More than the English. BUT, because they pretty much ignored their other respawn HQ, they weren't getting any troops to Polling Station 2, essentially leaving it completely open for the English to vote when they pleased.

If the Scots had divided their forces between both their HQs and focused troops toward BOTH polling stations, I'd say the Scots would have closed that point-gap by a lot more. A little more pushing, and they could've won the day, too.

I think next year, if the Scots play it smart, they can win it.

And that's coming from an Englishman. :p

i just can't understand the whole head thing. By the end of the day I had been round virtually every part of the field and never seen a single english head :(
agreed that scottish side did nothing to keep control and push polling station 2. probably a lot to do with the fact that the 1st spawn was so close to the entrance as opposed to the 2nd at the opposite side of the field.
