Hi

I am about the service my Empire Sniper and i am a bit confused as to what to use.

The bolt had a layer of grease on it from new. and the parts kit has a small pot of grease with it. BUT... the manual says *quote*
Lubricating the Bolt /Hammer Assembly
• See section 8 for disassembly instructions. • Wipe the parts clean and inspect the O-rings for damage or wear, replace if needed.
• Apply one drop of premium marker oil to the O-ring on the Bolt and apply a small amount to the outer surface of the Hammer.

I have tippmann marker oil but is it worth replacing the grease on the bolt with new grease or use oil.

Thanks

I just cover the bolt in Dow 33. Thats how it came and that's how it was returned to me both times after being serviced by Empire.

I wouldn't reccomend Oil. I used oil on it once and after only 10 minuets of play, the bolt was bone dry and one of the O-Rings had come off and jammed the bolt in the breach.

Use what you have been given by empire wouldn't put oil on it. I use the gog stuff in a big pot now because I found the empire stuff always turns watery. Use it on all my past and present empire/bt markers

never ever use petrol oil based lubes on a marker..jez you guys,,,
allways use a silicone based oil.... if its a petrol based oil it will swell the orings as orings are made from,,, thats it you guessed it petrol based products,,

we dont out thick greese on a hammer as it needs to move freely.. and clogging it up with thick greese will slow it down,,so a thin silicone based lube is for hammers..
PTFE BASED/ TEFLON BASED/LITHIUM BASED,,or SILICONE ,, as none of these will affect the orings,,

anything but not sewing machine oil,, i make my own lube using silicone as the carrier,,then blending lithium and teflon,,,

the silicone carries the lube,, the lithium makes the lube stick to the parts < pores >
then the teflon stops the lubes from breaking down,,, you use the most tiny amount,,

next and a big thing,,do not over lube your marker..any silicone in the barrel will grab hold of paint and make it spin,, so keep your barrel clean and dont use to much lube,,
