Yea that's mildly damning actually.

The whole thing around releasing 20 layouts that every major organisation will use for the year is kinda weird. The first 7 layouts were released, and some look pretty awesome actually, a lot of variety. The weird part is that once a league uses a layout, that layout is off the table for the rest of the year for all organisations. So if NXL Vegas uses Layout 3, NXL/PALS/SAPL/Mills can't use layout 3 that year.

Kinda wacky.

There are only 2 confirmed Event locations for 2016. Costa Dorada and Bitburg.

I don't read that as the NXL distancing themselves from the WPBO. I read it as trying to clear up some piss poor reporting from Facefull magazine.

It'll be in 'London' not in Basildon though. No idea where the heck it'll be, which is a shame because I sorta thought Basildon was a nice place to host it.

Originally Laurent said they had 2 or 3 new venues for this year. Barcelona and London would be 2, and there's still a toss up whether or not Paris will be in Chantilly or not.

From what I have gathered, certain US players/teams/owners threatened to withdraw from the series if it was Basildon again as they felt duped by the London moniker!

TBH, Barleylands offered as much as any venue can, except a glamorous location.

what?? seriously? what did they expect? to be playing on tower bridge whilst the queen watched over and the red arrows flew overhead at every game change?
I love how this unification happens, and if they don't get their way, they just stick up the middle finger and say 'we're doing our own thing' after everyone spent a long time making the WPBO rules, bunker changes, new systems etc and forced site owners to buy the new bunkers (which no one wanted to do). What is stopping the mills from doing the same and keeping the M and spikes, making the field updates worthless?
