Hello Steve, and Welcome mate,
are you looking to play Woodsball or tournament ??
Very different !!!
I would suggest to have a go in the woods first to get a feel of it all ?
then maybe have a look at the Tourney side of it all, after, as it`s a whole different ball game !!
Faster and more expensive with Way more adreniline rush with also other people watching you like a hawk,
best to get yourself to a venue even if it`s just to have a look , this way you`ll know what direction to spend your hard earned cash, do some homework on the type of guns you`ll require, please remember that all guns shoot , but they are deffinately NOT all the same, weight, how they feel in your hands, reliability, and how they shoot, some Dip when shot rather quickly and some shoot straight ( eventually dip ) second hand quality is usually way better than buying cheap new, some only shoot a few pods of paint where some shoot loads on ONE fill of air in your bottle.

Hi, thanks for the welcome guys. Cheers Bluey for the info & tips, much appreciated. Im still reading up on the kit, will take some time to decide where my money will end up. Woodsball does seem to be the best place to start, but id be happy shooting at anything anywhere ;) Quick question, not many of my mates fancy paintball, so I could well be a solo punter, whats the protocol with venues? They seem to be expecting groups/teams?

There is no problem being a single player, you will soon make paintball friends
The only time a team is required is for tournaments - and often there will be a few solo players wanting to make a scratch team

Head down to Skirmish on a walkon, meet lots of people, see lots of stuff, find out what you fancy, enjoy

Hello Steve, I`m running my Woodsball site tomorrow with different groups coming, If you can drive up the M4 towards A34 , turn left towards Didcot power Station, can`t miss those bloody big Chimneys on the right , then turn left opposite, get to the Pub on the right called the Packhorse, about 200yds after on the left is the opening to our site
= MAX EVENTS , Grove Farm, just follow to end, and I`ll sort you out with Playing .
post Code = OX13 6AD
get there for around 11:00 - 11:30, I`ll make sure you enjoy yourself Mate.
