Hi Robbo,
I have been reading your articles since the early 90s as the various magazines from the US and UK were pretty much all we had in Australia and I always wondered about the behind the scenes stuff going on and if could ever be as bad as the crap going on in Australia... ours had a different flavour as paintball was illegal for many years and as such the politics were a different kind of nasty.

Anyway, after having read (and loved) everything you have written here, it seems they really were not so different. This was a fantastic intro into UK paintball for me as I am looking to get back into the sport here in the UK after a 9 year break.

You have also clarified some things about a friend of mine mentioned here as well (Paintball Pete) as I knew he had a run in with someone in the industry but none of the details... I won't make the same mistake.

I will be directing anyone who asks me about UK paintball here.

Hi Mark, well, thanks for the comments but as for writing a book?
I suppose there is a book in me somewhere but I haven't really got the necessary incentive or discipline to write it - most people can see what I've got up to in the 'History of UK Paintball' thread if they're indeed interested.
I think we're entering a new era for UK paintball and I'd love to see some really good UK teams being spawned by the CPPS to go compete in the Millennium or maybe even the NXL.
It wasn't so long ago [compared to the origin of space/time] when we used to be Europe's guvnors, there's absolutely no reason we can't do that again.
All you need is players with the necessary commitment, raw talent, patience, and someone who knows WTF they're doing to mould them.... throw it all in the mix and you never know what might happen but if you don't try, we all know how that one turns out already.

Mark, paintball is an extremely niche market but if some paintball oligarch wants to front 250k for The Life and Times of a Fuhkin Idiot, I'd be a little more inclined to start tapping ..... Come to think of it, I'd wanna write a book that had something like 40 chapters ...... I'd obviously want to write quite a bit on just how good I was as well as adding a few photos .... but what the fuhk I'm gonna do in the last two chapters is beyond me ...
