The read classified rules line 'http://p8ntballer-forums.com/threads/read-this-classified-rules.21087/' doesn't appear to be working correctly.
That's probably because there's a 2 week wait from when when you've joined to when you're allowed access, this is there to make it pointless in speed posting 20 posts in one day, though on some people it doesn't stop them.
20 posts is a lot for some of us as I'd rather not be putting up useless comments like this to get a +1 seen several things I'd have wanted to buy but was not able to post. I can also see how to some people 20 posts is less than a hour of blanking away

The admins and mods have considered and also proposed a number of options on the criteria
This is primarily a forum which is a place of discussion. Classifieds are a side area, and not a core area of the forum
People do come here just for the classifieds, but that's not considered a good enough reason to just open up access to people who aren't in the forum to contribute
The existing 3 options of:
Forum contribution of 20 (non spam) posts over 2 weeks
One year platinum membership
Lifetime platinum membership
.... give a pretty good all encompassing selection of options
Other than the forum, buyers can use paintball retailers (and support the U.K. market), buy second hand on eBay, Facebook, local papers, 'bring and buy' at walkons / events, car boot & jumble sales etc
Some of those are restricted such as the sale of guns, but there are valid and dodgy workarounds (valid - buy from somewhere that's not restricted or working around the rules such as buying a chocolate bar from a limited Facebook group)
If you are in a hurry to get access to the classifieds, which is something I can honestly understand, throwing a couple quid at a plat membership is worth it. It's next to nothing compared to what you spend on paintball, plus it helps keep the lights on for this site, which in turn allows you more access to awesome stuff to buy.
Q's Idea - I say lose the 20 posts rule, and take 10% of every sale.
