A question I get asked alot from people I work with is, why do i do Paintball? My answer is its my escape from work from the boring things that you day in day out.

So my question is "why do you do paintball?"

I think all hobbies ultimately boil down to "it's fun" -- or we wouldn't be doing them.

For me it's a physical activity I don't find mind-numbingly boring with just enough tech and toys to keep my brain interested.

Otherwise fun

Also to go out with my mates, including the paintball mates that you see possibly a couple of times a year
That can be found in any activity - but as a paintballer I have paintball friends

There is the excitement in game, particularly the indrenaline, I love new and diverse experiences. It began in the woods, then in buildings not knowing what's around the corner, or in an underground tunnel in deep darkness ... until you go around a corner into true pitch blackness.
There's going out with high firepower loaded down with paint, and there's carrying a pistol or a pump - whilst facing full on tourney guns - 99.9% guaranteed to lose, but 0.1% unforgettable experiences:
such as standing in a group of people lined up outside a fort. Cock the pump, swing around the queue of people and run in the front door - hit two people and then get painted

Photographing gives great experiences, especially at the Super5ives with the field size restriction. Consider how I feel stood at the edge of the field, a player to each side of me, and knowing that at any moment one of them is gong to make a run for it - giving me a photo opportunity complete with a stream of paint which is going to cross through me

Eat, drink, sleep - paintball

Not true at all...
I have had great success against speed ballers with a pump gun on a great many occasions, The trick is timing and form.
