Hi guy.just woundered if any one can help me. My regs acting up, it's set to 170psi and when walking the trigger the neddle on the ASA gauge lowers to about 120psi which is causing drop off. But when you pull the trigger once every 2 seconds, the neddle spikes to above 200psi. So i have a real air inconsistency problem. Has anyone came across this and is it just a service the reg needs or a new one :-( Cheers
Have you tried it with a different air tank? Could be the reg on your tank... That's what I would try first. If that's not it, try setting your pressure from 170 to 200 and see if that does the same (dropping low/spiking). Cheers Wingy...
Hi Wingy I've tried 3 different bottles and still the same. And its running at 170psi dor the last 2 months with no problems untill now and noticed the spike and fall.
Hmmmmm. Silly question I know, but I have seen it before.... You do have the spring on the bolt the right way around?? Guy I know had a similar problem and it turned out to be the spring. Cheers Wingy...
Yeah springs the right way. The only reason i noticed it was installed the lurker bolt which made it more obvious and when switched back to stock, it wasnt that bad but if it helps i play 4 times a week and in the last 4 months i've shot over 200 cases i service the marker about every 10cases but never touch the reg.
Unscrew the front of the reg , there you will find a spring, give it a good clean, then put back again , this could solve it, That spring is Sooo much underated, they sometimes freeze when the Air passes through before going up the grip. sometimes this is the cure for when you may think an "o" ring has blown.
I'll give it try bud. Been told to put oil in the ASA and dry fire it but will that not clog up the noid so abit hesistant of trying it
Yeah that crossed my mind to. I'll give KEE a phone in the morning and see what they say mybe its just a service it needa Cheers
It is recommended that non techy users do NOT take apart the reg. Give KEE a call, or any KEE stockists (LiPS, Just etc) and they can advise you further. Also who recommended putting oil in the bit where there is high pressure air? You have to name him, if he's still alive.
It was on a pbnation forum but i'm not that stupid and sent KEE a email today waiting on a reply i'll let you know the outcome Cheers
Were the regs different makes or all the same. You need to try it with a Pure Energy reg as this is what the RELAY was designed for. Different manufacturers set different lengths for the pins in the regs. May not be this but you have to elimante possibilities one by one.....
Thats cool, as long as you are aware that thats the only bit about paintball that will kill you Europe KEE Action Sports Europe Unit 3 Easter Park Cuckoo Farm Business Park Axial Way Colchester, Essex United Kingdom CO4 5WY UK Phone: +44 (0) 1206 756241 You can phone them if you wanted, far quicker.
Yeah all three where different one was my own that i've been using on the axe for about 4 months when i got the axe and others where a ninja reg and a gurilla regs
I still think you should try setting it at the recommended 200psi and seeing if it does the same. Setting lower than 200psi can result in drop off, which would perfectly explain why it drops low when ramping. Not so sure on the spiking part just yet, but it could be the issue with drop off. I know you said you have been using it for a while, but what I am suggesting is what the KEE tech will ask you to do anyway..... Cheers Wingy...
Yeah turned it back up got tryouts tomorrow for a team so let yous all know if its helped and plus what KEE says Cheers guys
hi guys just a quick up date on my ASA after tryouts spoke to an airsmith and its def severe reg creep, so new reg and i'll send this to KEE for a complete service cheers for your help guys
