Cool vid. It's always interesting to see how a sport evolves and continues too.

Was it still a max 300fps back then? Whatever happened to the playing area?

Amazing to see how the game was before I was even born! Even greater to see how the game has evolved! :)

Yes 300fps and last i heard the field is the one currently at Skirmish Nottingham.

The good old days of single trigger 8bps before ramping stagnated gameplay.
Back in the early/mid 90's you only had two real choices you either shot a Mag or Autococker

Thanks for the information, some of that head protection looked very small compared to what pwople wear today.

I remember players wearing just the goggle part of a mask, and attaching a snood type affair to the underside of it, and you pull it down to shout, and pop it back up again for "protection" :)

Were there many facial injuries back in those days? I had a couple of mates who played during that era, but not sure at what level or with what type of marker.

Not sure, but I doubt anything really bad happened. Ive been shot on the neck hundreds of times, which I think is going to be similar to getting shot on the chin, cheek, whatever. Probably at worst, a bloody lip. But saying that, I used to cut my lip if my JTs took a hit square on that part of the mask.

    Ledz - Slightly Slimmer (Just)
    Phil Webb
    Automags.................... Hhmmmm AutoMags
Revies with the extra Shredder pack
    Vents Goggles

This was a big blast from the past, cant believe all the old kit that I had.

I was told that Hyperball was developed by WDP and inspired by Stonehenge!
As for the lack of face cover bac then, I've heard stories of players loosing teeth!!
