A few years back, you could predict that Dynasty would win most major events they entered, as they dominated the pro division.

Some of us were getting a little tired of this predictability.

Since around 2006/7, we have seen a change to this trend.

We have seen the Ironmen reassert themselves, the Legion grinding on, new talent like Impact, TBD and Aftermath, and one of my favourites, Infamous, getting back to winning events.

In fact, TBD just won the NPPL Championship, and are lying 2nd in the race for the PSP title. Yet, no-one over here had heard of them until a couple of years ago.

These are the NPPL rankings, courtesy of nppl.com:-

So, what are the reasons for this change at the top?

Has everyone just copied the Dynasty model of scouting, training and playing, or are there more subtle reasons?
