Recently new to the sport and have been recommended by my brother and his mates to get a dye rotor, whats the difference between the two different gen?

They both have the velcro straps to hold the batteries in place, but the 3rd Gen has the 'Shark Fin' on the centre arm in case you get a jam
This will probably sound stupid but is there any way to establish whether its a second or third gen from the outside?
No, You will need to remove the top to see if it has the anti jam fin or not.
The anti jam part can be bought if required for around £12 making a gen 2 a gen 3.

The Gen 3 has a Extra Quick feed mode aswell
