hi looking for some help
I have bought a second hand ego 7 and carnt get it to fire above 240fps
I've striped and replaced all orings but still won't fire above 240fps
Today I have striped the inline regulator and found it only has 14 belvile spring washers, would this cause this problem ?.
If so do you still sell them ?
Also how much does it cost for you to service a marker if the washer does not sort it ?
Thanks

Yes, there should be 16 bevelled springs in the HPR. Only 14 would deffo cause velocity issues.

Post up a wanted AD, see if anyone has some lying around, i believe but not 100% sure (been a while) they are the same bevelled springs as the ego 05/06.
Ask @STONESOLDIER see if Planet has any by chance.

Also check LPR, gold spring goes in first, silver spring last.

Report back when you have sorted.

Ok thanks
Do you know if the ego 8 reg is ok to use as it uses a spring not washers and I know most of the other bits are the same on the 7 and 8 egos
Might be better to get one of these ?
What do you think
Also I've got two gold should there be one gold and one silver in the LPR ?

Yes, the 08 reg will work fine on an 07.

You sure the springs in the LPR are both gold ? Maybe try better lighting to be certain ?
Should be 2 springs, Gold goes in first, then the LPR piston, and last the silver spring pops over the piston shaft.

Do you know if there is a way to reset the board back to factory ?
Not sure if the settings are correct or not and if they could be the problem

Stock board ?
Refer to the manual. All settings should be in there.

Set the LPR flush, you can turn it in, but we want to make sure everything is working fine before fine tuning.
For reference, i use to set mine 1.25 turns in.
Stock dwell on an 07 i think 16ms, but check manual first.

Also been advise on a different forum to swop the qev for a standard fitting to take out the problem you have with QEV's ?Good advice or not ?

The only reason to dump the QEV is less maintenance changing the diaphragm if it ever breaks/splits. I only had 1 QEV split in the 5 years I used my SL74.
The downside will be less efficient, due to the remaining air being dumped out from the solenoid, rather than the QEV shutting the supply off after every shot.
