I've been offered a used Ego 9 apparently without a plank kit.

Is this a big no-no?

My local dealer still seems to have the kits in stock, so I can put one in -- as long as no permanent damage has resulted from all these years without one.

Due to distances involved, I won't be able to personally check the marker. Is there something I should ask the seller to take pics of?

We don't really have the parts anymore for Ego9's, if you can still get the plank kit and barb changed that's good, but obviously the damage might have been done by now if its been in use with no plank kit and barb.

What happens is the bumper O-ring on the rammer gets shredded into tiny pieces, eventually these pieces get pushed into the solenoid and damage the solenoid, which can not be repaired.

Got the gun, opened it up and turns out it already had the plank kit installed.

The rubber grips are shot, but I can get replacements for those.

Unfortunately one of the eye covers snapped in half when I was replacing a missing detent. Hope I can still find those somewhere...

Weird gunk in the barrel, though. Residue from reballs maybe? I soaped a barrel swab and got it out.
