looks to me like the seal is damaged. If you do not have a spare, then give planet a ring and have a word. The seal is not expensive compared to a new noid.
It does look damaged but i dont think it would leak on how it looks but i may be wrong. Let me know if you need one and il send you one just cover the postage mate il see if i have a spare somewhere .
if the seal is damaged like it looks it will defo leak .. the seal goes between two metal surfaces and the exess will alow air to leak out !
If you can see damage, then it'll leak for sure. I've had seals leaking where you'd need a microscope to see the damage... TBH, if it's a new gun, and you're not sure, then I'd send it back to planet for a service - that'll sort everything, and mean you can be sure there's no problems.
na i baught it on here and it came like this asked the guy for a refund and he refused and said he doesnt have the money
Where abouts in the UK are you, If you are any where in the Herts/Beds/Cambs or central London area I would be happy to have a look at it for you.
Sorry, if you were near by I would have had a look at it for you. Give Planet a ring about the solenoid gasket. As the others say, with that small amount of damage it will leak. Other than the leak, is evrything else ok with the etek
who did you buy it from? pretty sure this is my old gun, i recognise the scratch lol. did you get it sorted?
granted it doesn't happen often but the etek noids are a pain in the ass for leaking if you manage to damage either of the 2 surfaces that join together. My recommendation would be to replace the seal, either from your spares kit if you got one or just get eclipse to post you one. make sure the 2 connecting surfaces are wiped clean and both clips are in place. Try and really pay attention to where the leak is coming from as that might be able to tell you if it is the joining seals or the manifold that is the problem. but if this doesn't fix it i managed to seal an old etek solenoid by using some soft moulding plastic around the join and it worked a treat. but above everything if you ain't totally sure about carrying out any of the maintenance send it off to the professionals, its their job to be good at this stuff
