Getting Way Too Cold!!!!!!!!

Where I live, it's getting pretty cold, andI heard that C02 tanks don't do to well in the cold. I talked to a guy and he said that you need nitro tanks to play in the cold. Is this true? Also, what about expansion chambers? I heard that those help with the cold too. Help.

Expansion chambers help somewhat. However, Co2 and cold just don't mix well. You'll get all kinds of crazy inconsistencies in your velocity, and sometimes markers just stop working. Period.
Air systems are not effected by the cold. Something else that is effected by cold is the paint. The paint will go bad real quick in the cold.

Well, you can play, but be prepared for mechanical malfunctions. And paint going Bluah......

Well, lets say that you store the paint in room temp. then you bring it out onto the field, how long would it take for the paint to go rock hard or just plain cold?

The paint won't go rock hard. Don't believe the hype about frozen paintballs, can't be done in a regular freezer. Problem is that the shell goes brittle in a funny way.

Okay. I see. What kind of temp. will make it do that. It will be inbetween 30-40 degrees this weekend when I play.

Errrrrrr........me being Dutch, 30-40 degrees sounds like sweltering heat. We do the centigrade thing.
Don't really know what the deadpoint is, but when the thermometer gets to around freezing (give or take a few degrees), it ain't good.

Make sure you store you marker upright between games...that way CO2 will not get into the marker....bad news..seals go and it will be a pain to rectify.

Best advice get an air system for your marker....easy to use easy to maintain and no chance of you smeggin' up your marker..
