Is The 18" Apex Barrel Too Long?

Hey guys,
was looking at the apex barrel for my bt4 combat and they do an 18" version, will having this improve the gun any mor than having a 14" or will it just get in the way.

not sure wether this should of been in newbie or here but felt it was more of a discussiion

had a 18 inch apex I picked up cheap and for me it was to long but.. that was on a proto pm8 I think it depends on what style of marker you are using

as for 14 vs 18 its handy for moving the green stuff out of the way in the woods

Hi, Any barrel is a personal choice to what style of Paintball you play
I like both long for the Break out and sweetspotting,
Short for up front and in your face?

See if you can try it first before you buy to see if it feels right for you

If you can't shoot your gun straight with a 14 inch barrel then you aren't going to be able to shoot it straight with an 18 inch. Paintballs only need about 8 inches of unported barrel to get up to speed, so if you've got about an extra 6 inches on top of that you are just wasting air. Not to mention they just get in the way when moving about. A 16inch on my geo2 feels way too long for me if that gives you are rough idea.
