I think its a great idea

Only problem i forsee(if infact you use it in a game) is that if you get a direct hit on the camera lens, your blind.
And you're not blinded if you get a direct hit on your goggle lens?

If you were to use it in game, you'd have to find a way to paint check the bot.

If you were to stabilise the back and front of the bot with either wheels or skids, you'd overcome your second shot problem skeet.

Or for like big games you mount it somewhere, give it a case of paint and you stop them for a bit trying to get through or they have to actually think how they will get past. It's not like in those movies with automatic turrets people say that's unfair take them down ;)

Givven it only has a case youd either have to use it sparingly or make the most of it in one go.

Anymore specs will have to wait, as I don't want to give too much away as I'm hoping to possibly have in on show for next years Big Game, plus I have rivals who I don't want to give my designs too!

Rabies, for safety, it cannot fire without an authorised "arm-card" as it will incorporate a card reader programmed by me :D

Also, it is not really being designed to be used in game, more of a novelty to play with between games!

It will have a full-auto mode, but the most fun will be with single shot and this will be the default, again specialised cards required to turn it up to full-auto.

Also, we were thinking of modifying a massive bucket and funnel for paint, feeding into a standard electric hopper and a dive tank for air, but I've not decided on that yet - not even decided what marker i'll be using, as whatever it is I need to pull it apart a bit and I can't afford to tear apart an ego!

Oh yeah, recoil isn't a problem, already sorted that but you'll have to wait for the unveiling to see how ;)

Its a Pod mate...so isn't designed to be mobile, I had to use springs and dampers to control the recoil in three directions from the three legs, as the base stays still while the turret can rotate...obviously, budget and design were limited to what I could get my hands on, and the recoil from a 30 inch barreled .308 action, is fairly substantial on something, that doesn't weigh as much as me. Weighs about 40 kilos, as it needed to be weighed down, but, recoil at peak, is about 500lbs for a few milliseconds (recoil is a bell curve).
The device that cycles the straight pull action, also adds to movement, so you have to let that settle.

I once used it to shoot foxes during late afternoon, had some bait out and obviously, being 500 yards away in a car, I didn't arouse suspicion with them....very entertaining!

Dude... an E-Blade cocker would be perfect...cheap, wicked CLACK sound when fired as well as the moving bit, get a AGD Warp Feed for it and modify your bucket to that...or not

looooves the snake!! :D
Consider the safety aspects of a device that could fire without warning and without (obvious) human interaction, particularly outside the context of a playing field, but also on the field.

Apart from that, have a blast :)
I think flashing red lights and a siren, or a repeating "Warning - this turret is live. BEEP!" (like on a reversing lorry) would be highly appropriate. Also, awesome :D
