what type of bottle does the torch connect to? edit, used google! what price would you do as a deal with all stamps and torch? torch new is £55 from amazon fyi
You can use propane or mapp gas (over the counter no BOC account required) depending on what you are doing with it, mapp is to hot for soldering pipe smaller that 15mm it overheats to fast & makes joints weak.
I mainly use this type of torch with propane for soldering 8-22mm copper pipe works amazing. I already have 2 and they are both lasting 4 years with heavy daily use so no point keeping this. Have used it a few times with Mapp and had no problems with the tips yet.
There is a different tip for use with Mapp gas but like u say it doesn't do anything bad really just the tip glows red hot on a low flame, I have the same torch, it's by far the best
