What happens when you tell someone that you play paintball?

if i tell someone you play paintball, the response to me is "awww! il be a sniper!" "are you allowed to climb up trees?", "so what happens when you get shot" then i say your eliminated till the next game then they say "thats rubbish then init",

just kinda interested what responses everyone else gets when they tell a person who doesnt kno what paintball is

'running around shooting, how much skill can that take'
'thats a bit childish isn't it'
'does it like proper hurt'
'seems a bit too dangerous to me'
'a field full of giant inflatables, thats dont sound foolish'

im sure some more will come to mind later on

thats mostly what iv got at uni
i shouted at the person with the car comment
" BECAUSE I CANT DRIVE TO SAVE ME LIFE YET NOB ARSE"

I'm having an ongoing arguement with a few people in my office who reckon that 5 squaddies who'd never played before could beat my team cos they know how to use guns and stuff!

paintballs dont fly like bullets if they were in the army they ahould know that
my mate in the army goes on scenario games with his squaddies atleast once a fortnight lucky git gets it paid for by his barracks he says

he even said to me when i told him about speed ball that it looks completely different to anything heez done b4 and would really enjoy it

At uni our team is a 'society' so we are grouped with the likes of the role play society, The french etc sociteys etc, there is no justice.
