Just to clarify for you all: Sponsorship - by definition: One that finances a project or an event carried out by another person or group In business often in return for Advertising time. Someone who supports or champions something. So to recap sponsorship can be part or whole financing, ie:a discount on something paint or products or free items such as shirts, boots or markers. Where this in return gives the 'sponsor' advertisment time such as on banners and shirts. To give an example Nescafe sponsor Hollyoaks and Cadbury sponsor Coronation Street they do not pay for the series to be made, they donate a sum (probably quite large!!) to sponsor it to get high quality advertisements. All in all, any team getting freebies or discounts are lucky as there are plenty out there who don't. It would be very nice to see more sponsorship from the private sector, but it wont happen until we get more airtime and become a spectator sport.
