When pumps first came alon, as Flash said, you needed to plug a hose into the back of it to run idown to the bottom line. With braided hosing the most common type used the plug and the hosing looked kinda like a tail. It couldnt be called a pony coz it was seen as ugly. Thus it was called a donkey.

Donkeys are used to carry large payloads in crappy terrain. It "holds and carries" things. The bottomline holds and carries your payload (tank). I think I've solved it.

Can I just clarify that there is a distinct difference between a Donkey and an Ass. These two fine animals should not be confused with one another.

Slightly unrelated, but did anyone hear that an elephant picked up 2 kids with its trunk and saved them from the tsunami? Letting itself get bashed about (also surviving) by waves and debris. That elephant fcking rules!! Really, the donkey should be renamed the elephant out of respect for excellence...donkeys suck
