It's got the v35 board in it and set on the 4th speed. I'm only getting about 600 balls out of it before it comes up dead. That's with new duracell m3's and switched off between games.

I've used the same batteries for about 4 months now. And I don't switch off between games.
Are you buying them from a reputable source???
We used to buy the 9v one from a guy on the cheap. I still swear there was something wrong with them. They didn't last as long as the ones you buy from the Petrol Station on the way....
