Bolter, I hear you.

What the seller should have done was to state that he was selling the gun for someone else at the outset. Then, the owner of the gun comes on-thread and makes comments to try and provoke a sale. But he does not state that he is the true owner of the gun.

A few hours after I posted that I would buy the gun, Chanman starts crying that I have not paid for it and would sell it to someone else.

Then, he takes five days to actually get hold of the gun and send it to me.

If all of this had been made clear in the first place, I would not have an issue. But it wasn't.

Chanman

The receipt is almost undecipherable.

How much did you pay for postage?

After zooming in on the postal receipt, you sent it by "Standard Parcel".
There is no tracking number.

Therefore, you knew that you didn't send it tracked and insured for the correct amount. You have sold guns before, right?

This means that if the gun goes missing, Royal Mail's maximum amount of compensation for this type of postage is £40.

So we are still left with the situation that, if the gun doesn't show, you or your friend will have to refund me the full price via paypal.

This member has confirmed via PM that he is the true owner of the gun:-

He has also confirmed that he gave Chanman money to post the gun via recorded delivery. Going from the postal receipt, Chanman chose not to do this.
hi there, i realizes that any confusion about who owned the gun should have been cleared up over here etc. the postage method was not told to me which he wanted to send it by and i had £10 to post it, so used the best option avaidable, i'm sorry that the gun isnt with you right now but tat doesnt mean itsnot goin to be, i would appreicate if you waited until it does turn up as i'm sure it will and if it doesnt we can sort out the situation but as i mentioned it only arriving at the post office friday lunch time, its unlikely it left there the same day, im sorry i cant make royal mail go any faster for you as i understand you just want the gun at the end of the day, if it doesnt turn up get in touch bud

I can see all of that. This is understood. We now know he didnt send it recorded. Lets wait a day or so and see whats what.

I think this is one of those things Chanman will learn alot from. Lets hope the gun shows up mate.

How long will it take to get there?
We deliver most Standard Parcels by the third working day after posting, including Saturdays. This service is not guaranteed.

Copied DIRECT from Royal Mails website. The gun was sent friday, so it should arrive tomorrow, although the service is not guaranteed, and take into account the weather, there may be some delay.
