Looking to get some ideas about collecting up re-balls. Basically our Uni Society trains weekly in the Uni sports hall with reballs and we spend quite a lot of time picking them up by hand before we can get going again. Does anyone have any ideas of a relatively cheap method of speeding this up. I don't fancy spending £400 plus on type used for golf balls but also a broom does not cut it (it just pushes them away).

Any ingenious ideas out there would be welcome. Even if we have to build something ourselves.

possibly a bagged hover the one with the bags not a plastic cyclinder that would probley break ! just hover them up with the suck nozzle that would be quicker and cheap iam sure someone on your team will have one :D Hope this helps : DDD

Instead of a blower you want a leaf sucker but not the ones that mulch as they have a built in cutting type blade which will wreck your reballs like one of my numpty workers tried or like what has been suggested a hoover. You could always buy more but all that does is mean you have more to pick up but does give you more playing time.

Hoover with some kind of adapted nozzle might well be a plan. The Ammoup things are way out of the price range really. Was think sub £100 to be fair.

i've seen people use a handmade wooden U shape with a handle and just use it like a big brush if its on a hard floor. if using reballs on astro or similar then use a garden vacuum or one of the paintball collector thingys. used one of these at the astro field i worked at and it does a damn good job.

It's a hard wooden floor. Was thinking of building some form of U-Brush to try out. Problem is any brushes we've tried before tend to just push the balls away straight into a wall where they bounce off and go off in random directions. Really need some was of brushing them and collecting them at the same time. Might have to use a bit of enginuity.

what we do at NPF is rake with piece of drain pipe cable tied to it. and then we use one of the roller pincers to get them up. but could also use a large plastic shovel which we have done
