Bounce vests.... Your opinions??

Used a Proto vest a few times...Didn't notice an increase in bounce rate and made me feel less comfortable. Sure shots hurt less, but I do tolerate pain, and a good jersey's padding will do for me.

I guess it's down to personal opinion.

Personally I don't wear one, find I get far too warm, and keeping cool is important to me, shots don't bother me to be honest but again that's just me

Yeah always go for the bounce vest when i'm playing, sometimes it's ok to play without though. Just depends on the individual.

would recommend bounce vest but iv hardly ever worn a bounce vest but i mainly play in a full tactical vest when playing woodland. you still pick up one or two buses on your arms but other than that the vest dose a good job.

I've never worn any pads. I would wear knee pads and elbow pads - just haven't really got round to it. I can't really see me wearing a bounce vest unless everyone else told me that all the cool people were doing because I'm very susceptible to peer pressure (not being facetious - I actually am...). Just too much fuss/too hot/too restrictive for not enough benefit.

I certainly have never had any worries about sliding into bunkers or diving due to lack of pads, even in all-day training, though everyone seems to know someone who opened up their kneecap doing it.

All the cool kids are wearing bounce vests...

Trust me.

Im Looking into buying a bounce vest, or do I just 'man up' ?? ;-)
Just seen another post about knee pads. For me these are a must. They help reduce impact injury and allowed me to hit the floor quick when needed. Plus it does not feel as uncomfortable when you shoot kneeling.
