NXL World Cup

Div 3 is mercy 4 too so not too much of a skill difference , they're winning their games but not walkovers. They do look more coordinated and better comms though!
There is definitely a skill set divide between European paintball and the US teams, when UK teams first played World Cup in the swamp behind Ols Town it was them that had the upper hand, now we lag behind.

They're struggling with the refs right now. 1 minute to game start and there's some sort of scoresheet mixup so wrong teams might be lined up against each other.

The NXL refs are the biggest issue, they are pretty lazy generally, compared to Eurorefs, and the level of competence varies wildly from one divisional field to another. They also manage to eventually display a huge amount of nationalistic bias, if there are any unclear situations I'm fairly certain it won't go in the 15s favour as the knockout games progress.

However, they are a quality team, and if they play clean and dominate, they have a good chance.

What's happening to Infamous? I just saw the players trying to sell their stuff which is sad! Did their sponsorship change?

Lucky 15s just lost 3-2 in the semi finals. so close to winning a 1 min point for the equaliser, runner traded with their back centre for g5 , 1 guy left for 15s but not enough time for him to get to the buzzer.

They threw a point away with a needless major penalty at 1-1 though. 5 alive and in their snake 2, and a 15 pretty unsubtly wiped a hit off his bottle with a ref right on him. No sympathy for that!

Players have been selling their stuff since dinosaurs roamed the dead box! WC is the end /beginning of the team's cycle .All the kit will be re issued ,as sponsors insist their latest product is worn.Rendering last seasons kit to training gear or sell off.As to who will sponsor Infamous ,as several were let go and now work for Valken,it's anyone's guess .As we are in the silly season whole threads ,here and PB will overflow with those guesses. So I'll be the target and say Empire .Though they don't like the idea of a GI branded team not cleaning up ,Infamous despite their losses of personnel (they call themselves the skeleton crew) still seem to know how to get to Sunday .And the only thing worse than a Kee team winning would be someone from outside their brand and Infamous still could do that.

You mean Thomas Taylor selling a Vanquish, a bag, a loader and the proverbial clothes off his back?

Standard business practice, old chap.

I don't think Thomas gets a paycheck for playing for Infamous, so as @shoaibaktar quite rightly says he's having an end of season sale.

Impact, Dynasty and god knows how many other players do the same thing. But if you look carefully at their posts, they almost always ask people to PM them for a price. Which tells me the price will be truly eye-watering.

On a side note, I'd like an Infamous jersey, but not for the price Thomas wants for his.

I wouldn't be too hard on them if I were you.

They wouldn't be able to get in as Pro or Semi-Pro, for a start, and the next level is D2. As @Spikerz points out, they could probably only get a space in D3. Don't forget, this year has seen a huge turnout of teams for WC.

Also, the difference in skill level between us & them is huge - their D3 is probably equal to a CPPS D1.

Props to them for making the trip & competing. The players have probably had to dig deep in their own pockets to fund it themselves, and flights to Florida aren't as cheap as they were 10 years ago, when I used to go every year.

Once you factor in villa, car, food, entry, paint, food, buying stuff, plane ticket, food, cash for lapdances.......you're looking at the thick end of two grand. Which is a lot of cash if you're a young kid or a family man.
ML Kings have entered Semi pro and you can't tell me the CPPS champions and SPL team are par with their Div3 ,I know GB scene is declining but not that the no1 side is only div3 standard. However ,your point about laying out 2k and going to WC ,who would'nt want to have "a good time " rather than struggle and go out early doors.I totally understand that .I guess they see it as a reward for a successful hard season and who would begrudge them that.

Losing a hit under the nose of a ref is the measure of a true Pro.
