So, with places opening up again this week, and plenty of paintball on the agenda... where is everyone playing this weekend?

Personally going to be at Paintball south on saturday for sup-air, and then at Campaign on Monday for the walk on.

The opening walk on at campaign last year was really one of the best paintball vibes from recent years... EVERYONE was excited to be there, and there were plenty of good times happening all day.

so yeah, where are you playing?

Not for me mate. Too much long balling for me
Now, before I went last year, I was also 1000% in that camp... "big games / milsim is boring"

But then I went, and they had a supair field up all weekend... of which it was only part of the main game fields on the sunday... so that gave 2 solid days of playing on that, before jumping in with everyone else on the sunday.

Then on the Sunday there were lots of individual objectives going on at the same time... so it meant there was lots of little skirmishes, rather than one long boring thing.

It really changed my mind about it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still all about smaller fields and countable bodies.. but once a year to play something that really was good.

Good topic this.

I lost my walk on V plates at Mayhem yesterday and had a great day. It was good to be chucked into the mix along with quite a lot of tournament and regular team players, see how they played, where they made their runs and generally show 'em how it's done. ;)

One of the last rentals I played I was still (just) at school. We arranged the whole 6th form to bunk off the last day of term for a paintball day, everyone telling parents it was a treat arranged by the school. The penny dropped by 9:30am when absolutely nobody showed up to school & they rang all the parents : "He's gone Paintballing on the school field trip... Hasn't he?...". :ROFLMAO:
But it was too late - the goggles were on and the paint was flying.

20 years later (wow, where did that go?), it was great to see so many adults bunking off work in favour of a Monday session on the paint.

Heading back again Saturday for another fix. Can't wait.

the community at wall ons tends to be pretty good all over the place so be sure to check back in with people you recognise from Monday

Liked the idea of the Monday game for my first one as it was originally looking like being a quiet day, but it ended up packed and I still had a great day so everyone's a winner.

I read about Big Game on here ages ago when I first started looking into getting into it, and thought it sounded good. Hoping to make that or another festival type event this year.

It's funny how originally I looked at MilSim and thought that's definitely not the type of paintball I want to play. Yet sat there the other day looking at the group who were playing it and thought, why not, at some point may give it a go. It's all shooting people.
