still got my old phantom (the hopper on that is like a bit of guttering) and my L7 promag with 3.5oz expansion tank and and an old shredder hopper. Happy days....

still think about getting a new remote line for it and playing at our local site with it for a laugh.
I just imported a VSC phantom from the US, it's really fun playing pump vs. punters.

There's a thread on the carter brown forums with a load of magazine scans. None of them are UK, but here's one ;)

Not old school photos but my old school guns.

This is a Phantom UK custom from 1990/91 it had different internals to the american phantoms and came with a matching annodised bottle.

This is my ex-tournament gun. Another Phantom UK custom but tricked out. 17" spiral drilled barrel, double bottom line using 3.5oz expansion chamber and a short stroke pump. Now has 2008 phantom internals

Bud Orr Sniper. pretty much stock except for a slam fire kit and longer barrel.

I also have a Bud Orr Sniper II Autococker but it's in pieces at the moment.

The tricked out phantom is really sweet, I bought it new and spent a small fortune on it. It cost about £800 in all which was quite a bit of cash in 1990. Obviously it's a woodball tourney gun and lasted through the sterling years and quite a few years into semi era.
It performed just as well as a Sterling silver but a phantom needed more money spending on it to get it up to that level. In my opinion the Sterling was better on a single shot but the phantom was always better shooting fast because of the straight front to back layout made it more stable slam firing.
Against the early semis you relied on long range accuracy, you could pick off tipmans and automags. Generation II Autocockers really killed the pump off as they brought the accuracy to the semi. Then semis unfortunately killed woodball (and most of the trees and bushes) and with hideous brand sponsorship deals we ended up with the horror that was speedball.

These got hit up on Facebook earlier by a mate in Oz :)
