    Having been daft enough to post this in the wrong thread I'll stick it here, don't want you feeling I'm hijacking your thread, but feel free to quote it if you like.

    I feel for you and know exactly where you are coming from! Little do they seem to realise that there are costs involved in coverage, not just the price of the equipment, which all adds up to a fair sum, but the costs of travel and accommodation (especially for international events). Then there’s the time you have given up. Time that you could have spent with loved ones, or, just possibly, have been doing something else more productive.

    What amuses me most is the little scrotes who stand there moaning that nobody ever takes their picture, when you know full well that they have already nabbed images of themselves, and they just don't seem able to comprehend the correlation.

    Any time a classified deal goes sour the pitch forks a dusted off and sharpened and the torches lit at the merest hint of a member of “our community” being done wrong by. We stand out in the blazing sun, biting wind, pouring rain and bitter cold, for game on game, while the players shelter in the staging, feed their faces, drink tea etc. and probably put a lot more effort into a day than most. Not to mention the subsequent time spent in front of a glaring screen working a hot keyboard and mouse to make sure they look their best. Then, a fair enough proportion of players just grab what they can off the web, by one means or another, and think nothing more of it.

    Not supporting the photographers at events will, eventually mean the photographers will stop supporting the events. We know you want us there, from the ammount of "did you get me", "I hope I looked good", "when will the pictures be up on the web" etc., comments we get throughout the day and subsequently on the forums.

    When you add up the time effort and expenditure for the year and compare the returns it hardly seems worth it, don’t think I’m all bitter though, I have to say that there are some great people out there, if only more of them would appreciate what we go through to make them look and feel good.
