Played in States. Now in London.

Hey guys!

I'm looking into getting back to playing regularly.
I've been living in London for a while now. I played for a few years in the States (both speed and woodsball) with my Tippmann 98 and Spyder tl-x.

Got 2 questions.

I read somewhere that some walk-on places restrict electric trigger. Is this true? I'll buy mech trigger gun first then.

Walk-ons seem to be once a month. Are there places around London that play more regularly?

Hope to be on the field soon!

Hi I think you may have it the wrong way round. Normal 'punter' days restrict the use of electro's/e-triggers and walk ons are almost exclusively electros but you would be able to use a mech gun if you fancied the challenge.This is my experience anyway and some sites do allow electros vs 'punters' .

Depending upon which side of London you live campaign is a fantastic site that hold regular walkons.

Where in london are you?

There are quite a few sites around london, they might be one very close.
Bricket Woood
Warren Wood
Mayhem
these site are all north london on the M25

Ah! Thanks for the clarification. I live quite close to central London so most of them are roughly the same distance. I'll check out Campaign and the others.

Do you have a car, if not Mayhem is 'Relativly' easy to get to via public transport.
a bit further a field is Royston in Cambridgeshire. They have both secnario and speedball teams. Close to train station if you have no car

Bricket wood is where a lot of the competative speed ball teams train, but its a bit hard to get to without a car

Campain and Mayhem are the two big Scenario/woodsball sites near you.

Also look at paintfest end of July, the second biggest UK 'big game'

Bricket Wood isn't that bad actually so long as you plan your train times - Train to Watford Junction from Euston (look for a fast train, not a slow hillbilly route!), then on to Bricket Wood from there and a 15 min walk through the village.

No car unfortunately. Plan is is to start with some walk-ons at Campaign, Mayhem, and Bricket Wood. Get back into my groove and look for a team. Definitely want to go to one of these big games as well.

Every Thursday Campaign also have a training night. I've been for the last few weeks & its good fun! A real mix of players too so everyone can learn/teach where needed.
