Got a Shocker RSX, been fine all season and over this last 2 months has began indicating low battery on every fresh 9v I try and giving an intermittent eye fault. I've stripped the gun, cleaned everything, reseated , etc. and the fault remains. The gun itself still shoots absolutely fine with the eyes off and sometimes with eyes on. But the fault is really niggling me. Any ideas as to what the problem may be? I have a feeling it may be a board fault but thought I'd put the question out encase I'm missing anything obvious and someone else has had the same issue.

Cheers!

you need to tell us what battery your using... did you buy the gun new,,,second hand,,, same as the old ions you need a pp3 thats 9volts plus,, and thats a duracell any thing else is 8.7 volts,, as for eyes..thats can be a pinched or trapped wire,, back in the past,,
buy a new set of eyes,, problem sorted.. next have you reflashed the broad from the dlx smartparts web site,, and batt nlow may just be a software problem,,, you will find all this info on there web site,, or go see smartparts tech and he should do this all for you,,,
let me know how you get on..gommie

I've used pretty much every 9volt under the sun. Tried multiple duracells, Energy Paintball batteries, etc. all with the same result. Gun was bought second hand with 1 previous owner, they had it for about 6 months from new and it's been sweet all season. One day it just decided to go tits up.

Could the fault with the eyes be linked to the battery, seeing as it all occurred at the same time? I've considered replacing the battery harness encase that may be causing issues?

Eyes seem to be fine, i've stripped it and there appears to be no breaks or pinches along the ribbon. One thing I haven't tried is flashing the board though, I'll give it a shot tonight though.

Wanted to avoid sending it off to a tech as It will be up for sale as soon as the faults sorted so kind of wanted to get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Many thanks for getting back to me Gommie. You're always a great help. (y)
