Edited to copy the full text for reference:

Hi everyone,

Firstly, apologies for the delay in getting our season info out! As you know, there’s been a lot of change in the European league structure over the past few months, and so we too have been waiting on decisions and outcomes before we could release our own.

As always, we want to continue our investment at CPPS, and this year will be no exception. Improved facilities (including showers for campers in the summer months), new sup’air fields and upgrade kits for every division, and a whole host of behind the scenes improvements to keep the CPPS at the level you’ve come to expect. We will also be having a dedicated play area for under 12s to allow children to play safely under their parent’s supervision, with some fun games and activities.

We're stepping up our reffing program again for 2018 and will be running two referee clinics this year; the first on 24th February. It's an incredibly rewarding experience and we have a great team ethos. Perhaps you only play on Saturdays at our events and want to make a weekend of it? It's open to all and you'd be most welcomed, so please drop us a message for more info. You’d be surprised at how much fun it is, and also keeps your playing cost down!

With regards to our paint sponsors, the following will be available in 2018:

GI/Empire, Valken, HK and now also Tomahawk.

This season, we also have the usual tech support from Planet Eclipse, Dye, Macdev, GI/Empire and Virtue at our main five events, to ensure you spend more time having fun on the field, than worrying about potential equipment issues.

Our usual trade village will also be present, with the best paintball shops in the country offering a full range of equipment; BZ Paintball, Drom, Just Paintball, Warped and also dropping in at various rounds will be Anthrax and Jersey Clinic.

Our dates have already been released and are as follows:

  • Pre-Season Warm up event: 10/11th March
  • Round 1: 7/8th April - Dye Championship
  • Round 2: 12/13th May – HK Shield
  • Round 3: 16/17th June – Valken Cup
  • Round 4: 21/22nd July – Eclipse Open
  • Round 5: 8/9th September – GI Cup
  • 7man/Formula 5 North event: 13/14th October
N.B. Season presentation will be held in Penkridge on the 13th October.

We are also introducing an under 15s league, and will announce the dates shortly. We had debated running this on the same weekend as the main events, however, we want to keep the intimidation factor for young players down and give them the main spotlight on the day.

The division structure will be as follows:

  • Elite Division - Mercy 4 (12 teams), 4 pots limited, no paint sharing
  • Division 1 – Mercy 4 (12 teams), 4 pots limited, no paint sharing
  • Division 2- Mercy 3 (16 teams), 3 pots limited, no paint sharing
  • Division 3 - Mercy 2 (15 teams), 3 pots limited, no paint sharing
  • Division 4 – Mercy 2 (20 teams), 3 pots limited, no paint sharing
  • Division 5 – 5man format (20 teams), 2 pots limited
  • Breakin/out – 5man format (20 teams), 2 pots limited
For the eagle eyed amongst you, you’ll notice that there’s a slight change on some of the division team numbers. We’ll give the full breakdown to the team captains, but basically, we’re moving to a system whereby we include quarter, semi and finals in a knockout system following prelims. The idea being that more teams get the chance to make finals (8 in total), rather than it only being the top four teams each time, and we lose the placing games in D1 and Elite, creating a more competitive environment.

For the overall season there will then be an Elite Mercy 4 champion, D2 Mercy 3 champion, D3 Mercy 2 champion, 5man champion and Breakout Champion. We also hope to have some rather special end of season champion prizes for the end of the year, which we’ll keep you posted on.

Please note that at the end of the 2018 season, we will be enforcing a STRICT promotion and relegation system. The bottom two teams of D1 will be relegated, and the top two of D2 promoted to D1 for 2018. Two will also be promoted from D3 into D2 (with the same number down). Divisions Elite to D4 will be LOCKED as they were in 2017. Teams must play the full season for the Sunday divisions, and lose their season deposit and place at subsequent rounds if they fail to attend an event. Priority for these divisions will as always be given to the teams that have played the previous season. We will be doing a deposit system as we did this year and the prices/deposits are as follows:

Elite/D1/D2: £325 (£225 deposit)

D3/4: £300 (£200 deposit)

We’ve had to increase our prices slightly as we want to keep investing in the site and have some big plans for 2018. On top of this we have the cost of all our upgrade kits for each field and a couple of new ones to keep the arenas in tip top shape. Dylan and I still both work separate jobs to keep things sustainable at CPPS, and we want to keep up the investment level for the long-term future of CPPS.

Teams playing Saturday divisions are not required to make a deposit, but we ask that you book in ASAP to avoid disappointment.

We will be taking our deposits from today (please contact us for banking info) for these locked divisions, but ONLY for existing teams in the locked divisions until the 9th February. Following this date, we will then open the spots up to new teams.

After this date, we can open up any free spots to either Saturday division teams, or new teams to CPPS who would like to play on Sunday. Please remember that we first have to place teams who have played the previous season in their divisions and priority will be given to them before we fill in the gaps with new teams or teams who want into Sunday.

Only when your deposit is received and noted will your entry be confirmed for the season. To reiterate once more, if you fail to attend a round, your deposit will be lost and your spot opened up to another team for subsequent rounds. If you play all rounds, your deposit will be knocked off the final round entry fee so that your entry for Round 5 will be just £100 for divisions Elite through to D4.

Division 5 will remain on the Saturday as 5man, along with our Breakout and Breakin division. Just to confirm, no deposit is required for these divisions and they are not locked. Last year it was clear that there were some higher-level players playing in both D5 and Breakout, so we will be implementing a tougher system to prevent sandbagging.

Prices will be:

D5: £275

Breakout/in division: £250

Again, there will be promotion and relegation between Breakout and Break in teams from round to round and an overall Breakout Champion named at the end of the season.

Training on the Saturday of our events will remain the same. We will have a private field (maybe 2) available for 2.5-hour slots, for up to five teams at £100 per team. We will have all Elite teams on the astro and then another field for open training for just £10 per head from 9.30am-3pm.

We will be taking a limited number of prepayments for the entire season and this number will be capped at 10 teams.

Elite/D1/D2: £1525 (saving of £100)

D3/4: £1400 (saving of £100)

D5: £1300 (saving of £75)

Breakout Division: £1200 (saving of £50)

N.B. Payments must be received by 9th February 2018

Our partner hotel for 2017 will once again be the Mecure Hotel in Penkridge. £57 a night for a triple room using a booking code that will be provided on request. The hotel is a mile away from site and has excellent facilities including a gym and swimming pool. Please book well in advance to avoid disappointment

In summary, if you want to sign up for the Sunday locked divisions, please contact us at admin@okpb.co.uk to register and we will provide you with details on how to pay your deposit by bank transfer. If you're looking to enter our Saturday divisions, Breakout/in or Division 5, then please email us and we will add you to the team list, first come, first served. Please be advised that there was a high demand for these Saturday divisions in 2017, so book in ASAP.

Is promotion/relegation per round still, or only the end of year one? Reads like only end of year.

I read this as end of year, taking 2017 results to enter 2018 and then onwards to 2019

Yea it sounds like it's the same as last year for the divs that are locked, so Elite/Div 1, Div 2, Div3/4, but at the end of the year there's promotion/relegation between all div's. But...it's fuzzy. Maybe Ainsley will help clarify :)
