thanks to @Tom for taking the time to answer and very enlightening it is too :)

Finally some answers for you.

And as a nomination feel free to make it the next person you have ready, or go for Return of the silver fox

1) Name

Tom Pratt

2) Age
47

3) Where do you live?

Salisbury

4) What do you shoot?

I have a fair assortment of pistols, pump actions, mechanicals, electronics. I was going through a low firepower phase with my cocker pump or twin TipXs for a few years and have therefore seduced myself back to electronics from picking up a Dye DAM*, getting out my Ion and currently an Etha.

* After I opted out of a team deal as I didn't need one, but they knew I'd be buying one straight after I got my hands on theirs. My delay tactics also meant that I got the fancy DyeCam finish and a case

5) What's your occupation?
MoD Civil Servant - I do infrastructure stuff, weirdly I am the Armys lead on one subject, and whenever I can spend taxpayers money.

6) When/how did you first get into paintball?

Mid October 2004. A group of us decided to go and play paintball, (Camouflage Bournemouth) had the standard lads day out, back to the pub and then a flat for more drinks and to watch Aliens vs Predator to discover the date in the film. Two of us were then hooked and we hounded the others to come out with us sometimes.
We kept on playing punter days, switching between Camouflages Bournemouth and Alton sites, until we discovered walkon paintball and got hit with culture shock, and met a guy named 007 who introduced us to scenario paintball with the Wild Geese. I later bought an AK47 from him in Lidls car park.

7) What was your first marker? The first one I had access to was a communal Splatmaster, during my early teens our playground was Salisbury Plain. We were not playing outlaw paintball, but the least said about what we got up to the better.

This is arguable between two, EBay allowed paintball guns then, my memory is fuzzy about what came first but I bid on a second hand Bone Daddy Spyder clone & a new Delta 68. I think that possibly I went for the Bone Daddy first on auction and then found the pistol on buy now.

8) How often do you use p8ntballer?
Constantly, forums and facebook are the first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and plenty inbetween.

9) What first brought you to p8ntballer?
After playing our first game I then hit the internet hard, and like many new paintballers I thought all the cool stuff was in other parts of the country, the US or Russia. I joined any forum I could find, starting with TalkPaintball, SpecOpsPaintball, etc and then finding or being pointed to UKScenario, P8ntballer, WalkOnZone etc. I was a late joiner to P8ntballer as it looked more about speedball and my home was UKScenario (ultimately becoming a mod). But I wanted to know everything about paintball so would find my way into all of the forums.

10) What keeps you here?
The conversation, imparting my opinions on new (and old) players, I love forums having been around to see their rise and fall against social media. Facebook is good for in the moment, events and specific interest groups but information is regularly lost and regurgitated with varying quality.

11) Have you met many people from the forum?

Yes - lots. For most that I've met its taken me a while to connect the real life person to the forum. I'm bad enough at connecting names with faces, let alone forum names.

12) What is your dream gun setup?
The one I use at the time, I currently have some OLED envy, but am coping with mere LED.

13) What is the worst gun you've ever owned?
I've never had a bad gun, they are all different, some are better than others. I've probably got a fondness for what someone else would throw in the bin. The worst gun for the moment will have been taking a PCS US5 SLR rifle to search around the cowboy town at Skirmish Bristols winter walkon. Over 1 metre of classic rifle in a tight area.

14) What's your favourite p8ntballer thread or post?
The great fraudulent buyer PayPal swindle, which not only brought us the Bermuda triangle of West Midlands fraudsters and new member restrictions, but the police to Robbos door because it wasn't fair that a fraudster had been exposed.

http://p8ntballer-forums.com/threads/fraudulent-activity-by-a-buyer-warning-to-all-members.157684

15) If p8ntballer was yours for a day what would you change?
Introduce a system that electrified the keyboards of spam one line posters.

16) Explain your username?
Its the short version of my name.
Short form of Thomas, Greek form of the Aramaic name תָּאוֹמָא (Ta'oma') meaning twin.

Elsewhere and previously I am known as Tommikka if I'm not Tom, it's a mixup of Tom & Mika Hakkinen for various reasons.

17) Tourney, magfed or woods/scenario?
Paintball - Primarily I'm a scenario player, but if it involves paintball then I love it. I had no particular interest in tournament paintball until I went to the CPPS to support a couple of TFD teammates who were playing in the Going Postal tournament team. I intended to just show my face for a day to give support, I discovered a new way I could enjoy paintball which has developed into me becoming known for paintball photography.
If there's an activity relating to paintball then I want to be taking part.

If I'm not paintballing then I can be found attempting to talk people into paintballing.

18) Who are your two favourite mods?
Paul Weller & Phil Daniels as Jimmy Cooper
;-)

19) Who is your dream p8ntballer karaoke partner and what is the song?
Bad idea, the last time I was about to karaoke someone glassed themselves and the pub closed down, I didn't realise I was that bad.
But if we must, Bod with 'In the air tonight'.
Whenever there's an air question on p8ntballer it's a toss up between us as to who posts first.

20) You're in the final of who wants to be a millionaire. Who on p8ntballer is your phone a friend?
Dusty - He knows anything asked of him.

21) Take this opportunity to clear up one misconception about yourself?

Depending on your first experience of me, I am generally quiet, calm and reserved. But I can also definatley come off as rude, its far from intentional. Meet me at the right time or get to know me better then you'll see the true me. Alcohol is not essential to this.
Usually I'm so laid back that I'm horizontal.

22) You've been asked into the big brother house and you can take five forum members. Who and why?
Ainsley (that bloke from the CPPS), Bolter, Dusty, Missy and Robbo. That will give a mixture of different characters and potentially wise sages.
Definately Robbo so that if its a full big Brother cast we can sit back and watch him descend deep into madness, until he finally goed berserk over being locked in proximity of the inbred wannabie celebrities that inhabit reality TV.

23) You have the chance for dinner with any 3 people living or dead. Who and why?
Mandi, because she's no longer with us
Kirsty McColl, as shes responsible for some of the greatest lyrics ever heard.
Susanna Hoffs, because Mandi & Kirsty will politely not turn up, so Susie and I can get cosy in the candlelight.

24) What is your favourite film and song?
This will vary and get a different answer anytime I am asked.

I should probably say 'Ice cold in Alex' for the film, I can never resist watching no matter how far in the film is - if I really can't watch then I'll still hit record and get back to watch. If I get to see the hill and bar scenes then I'm happy.

For a song - 'Ever fallen in love with someone you shouldn't have)?'
I can listen to any version, and if someone sings it then they can't be bad.

25) Tell us one interesting and one boring fact about yourself.
They can be summed up in one fact. I'm a viking, descended from a Norwegian in what may be suspicous circumstances as a so called 'shipwrecked sailor' who settled in Orkney, which accounts for my lack of direction.

26) If you could give one bit of advice to people, what would it be?
Hydrate
At Paintfest 2013 we ran the kill house game and I had brought plenty water, but left it with the gear on the top observation platform. I was marshalling players into the kill house whilst following them for photos, between sessions I was preparing and readying the next group, which meant I was not going up top for a drink. Following a few hours in the July sun instead of moving onto playing an afternoon game I announced to the team that I was going home as I felt ill, only to find myself thrown into a camp chair, having fluids pumped down my neck and having the team rotating around me making sure I was still alive and drinking. That Saturday night the player party had a downpour - I was the most appreciative of cooling rain.
Like a reformed smoker, I am a reformed hydrator and will lecture anyone.

27) You're invisible for a day. What do you get up to?
I won't be quietly doing secret good deeds, because that’s what I do every day as I'm such a great guy, I shall instead combine questions 27 & 28

28) If you could be any celebrity for a day who would it be?
I shall become an invisible David Blaine, and arrange for him to disappear up his own arse and never be seen again. (Sorry - I lied about doing a good deed for the whole humanity)

29) What's your most embarrassing moment?
Dancing semi naked to Firestarter with Frisbee Dave, (my latest best alcohol friend that I met earlier that day). In the grand scheme of things its not my most embarrassing moment in my life, but cameras weren't running to document other occasions.

30) What is your proudest or most memorable moment in life?
Not the happiest event, but my most memorable moment came after kicking in the door of a friends flat to discover her body. The longest moment of my life was after telling the 999 handler that there was nothing to do and ending the call, then waiting for the paramedic to walk in. I later saw how short a time it really was on my phone bill and the 999 records, but it seemed an eternity and I discovered what it was truely like to feel alone.

31) What is your worst habit?
I've asked all my friends and don't have any bad habits …………. However I am a proponent of 'do as I say not as I do', on a paintball field I have found that over 10 years in the woods I have aquired a few lazy habits that I can get away with and on the speedball field have attempted to begin training them out of me again.

32) Name your best paintballing experience?
My most memorable moment was the first time I fired my Delta 68 pistol in game, it was in the final minute of defend the fort, I was sat down ducked in a tower facing the back door, the marshall started counting down, I had emptied my hopper and was taking my time to reload not expecting anything to happen when 3 people took the opportunity and came in the back door side by side in a line.
I dropped everything in my lap, lifted my pistol at arms length and gave them 3 shots, 1 in each chest.
They stood dumbfounded, game over was called, I walked out with a giant grin behind my goggles and bored everyone to death with my war story.

33) What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
Driving the mountain route to Thurso in a snow storm, and having the snow plough in front pull over. Visibility fluctuated I either couldn't see the road ahead, or could see a shear drop on the side of the road.

34) You're on death row, what's your last meal?
Rare steak with creamy pepper sauce, chunky chips with the skin and the only green stuff permitted is a pepper.
Or Susanna Hoffs

35) First thing you'd do if you won the lotto?
The first thing wouldn't involve paintball (initialy) Many years ago I had a private mini festival, using a friends land and putting on a camping weekend for everyones kids, this developed for a few years into a bit of a private music festival.
I still own the web address with email accounts, and she still owns the land, every now and then I ply her with cider at a festival and bring up how easy it would be for us. She has the contacts to pull it off but the problem is she sobers up.
With an injection of easy funding I'll get this back underway.

36) Tell us a joke
How do you keep an idiot in suspense?

37) What's your porn star name? (name of your first pet and your mother's maiden name)
This is a rubbish porn name:
Sheba Parker

Never let me avoid a PR opportunity, but that little Going Postal breakout team of 2014 only came out top of the league in their first year, leapfrogged past div 5 into div 4 for 2015 as Amped, and this weekend only dropped two points winning every game to take first place on podium and promote to div 3 for the next round

Go unicorns!
