Is there actually any point in players moving teams now? Surely they've all played on all the teams. Except for Alex Fraige & Ryan Greenpsan. Rock solid.

Goldman's move worked out ok for him!

Moves depend on a fair few things:

Paychecks/incentives/linked jobs
Playing time
Player relations
Podium chances
Travel time for training
Frequency of training

After impact used so few of their roster this event there might be some surprise departures - Cornell is one of the best attackers in the game and had hardly any playing time... who knows!

Ouimet is basically retired now as he's gone off to be a fireman. Their schedules are usually pretty crazy, so not sure he can commit to a season anymore.

Quite right.

I think the single biggest influence is "Am I going to get paid to play?"

The glory days of the all-star XSV roster of 05/06 are long gone, as is Lang's DYE contract.

Now teams need a sugar daddy to survive, or are relying to some extent on past glory.

Watching the Derder films XSV spectacular roster collapse mid season ,marked the moment the" true pro bill ",became a bill ordinary teams, could no longer afford .The factories and rich persons have continued but in an ever shrinking presence.Looking at the empty stands at many NXL events as people stroll past in empty parks behind ,explains GI's fight for market share has become intense as getting their initial investment back in a shrinking market is clearly proving hard.As growing the sport has fallen short of their expectations, closing bought out rivals ,keeping patent rights and dumping debt into bankrupted companies ,tells you paying people to play is no more than a distant memory for all but a protected elite

Ollies contract was like over what 2-3 years for 100K? In reality it wasn't a lot per year.
