I've just picked up a Replay XD1080 and have fitted up a goggle mount, although I may also mount on my gun. The camera itself has a number of video options for resolution and fps. Does anyone know whether 1080@30fps is better than 720@60fps or the other way around? I was wondering whether a higher frame rate might be better for paintball?

Cheers!

Cheers Stoney. That's kind of the conclusion I had arrived at in my highly scientific test of running around the garden shooting paint at the fence!

Sorry mate, I wasn't being very clear was I...!!!

I reckon 1080@30fps has the edge - well on my telly anyways. Shall give it a 'real world' test at a walkon soon :)

Gotta say that the GoPro's while expensive are also a great option. Especially if you're filming things other than just paintballing.

The GoPro app is also really useful for framing shots and turning on and off when out of reach.

Hi.
Im about to purchuase action cam. Cant deside.
ContourHD GPS or Repla XD1080?

For helmet cam and barrel cam.

Best barrel cam mount for them?

Your experience.

Thanks.
both are quite good as far as I heard.. I used r7 myself and it's quite annoying to charge and it uses a lot of space to record.. but very solid..
contour is to big for a barrel.. I would say the r7 is the best option..
