Another Postal Query Posting Air Bottles?

Now ive seen lots of posts saying Royal mail etc wont send air bottles and they can be destroyed etc so who do people use ??

Air tank - courier.
Gun - courier is probably safer.
Gimp Mask - Royal Mail. Nobody cares.

I've posted a few bottles through ipostparcles and put it as sports equipment not had any issues to date but accept that if found they could possibly be destroyed

The current situation is different to the past
And if you really have posted like that in the past then you're part of the problem
Legislation has changed, and those that will take cylinders thorough the right transport methods but require the regulator to be removed are doing so because of the people who sent cylinders incorrectly declared and even pressurised. Not good if it gets sent by air


Check the prohibited & restricted lists of the carriers and send responsibly

I messaged myhermes a while ago and they told me that they are fine with taking air tanks as long as they are empty

I have used collect plus to send bottles. Slow but it got there.

Late to the party.

I've sent around 5 tanks through myhermes each with the reg on but empty .

Never had a issue but have all been wrapped up good
