I could possibly machine up a cover for the eyes and detents, and use planet detents instead of the angel ones, it would make the body look neater.

tom when are you gonna be done with these bodies? i could do with one
as for detents if you could stick to the standard angel ones that would be great!
as for the eyes someone on MCB or AO managed to hide them in the rail so there was no need for covers

Do people really need ego feednecks? obviously they are sturdier and easier to come by. But otherwise a mag body is just an aluminium pipe. Tap detents, tap the barrel ,tap the feedneck. mill the slots for the sear and other bits and then thats it. I dont know how eclipse make their feednecks if they dont use welding (or an equal technique) without it being extremely cost inefficeint due to the amount you have to cut away to get at the feedneck.

the threaded feedneck has always been a weak point, i don't mind which is used but i know what i would prefer.
