So the years been busy. I've been busy and now I need something to enjoy again and I find myself pining for the buzz of the tourney field.
I left the sport years ago but have never dropped keeping up to date on YouTube with the world series and millenniums. Now I'm looking to restart as a casual player again.
As much as I'm kinda up to date with what mask does what and what marker slays however many biznatches, I'm looking to the guys who are "casual" playing (Maybe a bit older and slower) for some 'news from the front' with regards to kit that is still good, I know some masks stay good forever where others come and go. What markers are gonna run well on the field not burn holes in my wallet.
Anything you guys can offer u would appreciate.
Thanks to all.

Also looking for site info in the Salisbury area. If there is a simple site map for tourney fitted sites this would be appreciated and a simple link will work. If there is players up there that dont mind a 32 year old bloke coming for the day please hit me up. I appreciate any advice for a returning player in Wilts

well ... hes more a spray and pray because he has bad eyesight. Sometimes he is shooting his own teamates and even the judges sometimes get one or two balls. If I'm honest, I would not be surprised if he's really have good eyesight but do this because he's evil, I love the old man.:)

@Bak Man, can't help you with sites in Salisbury, I'm just not familiar with that area.

A lot of the older players are returning to the Woodland Masters Series at Holmbush - it's a very good.

As for masks, the most fashionable ones at the moment are the PUSH goggles, they are pricey.

Next, you have Griilz & Profilers. Brand new Griilz start at around £60 now. Virtue Vios are very good, and you can pick them up second hand pretty cheap. A slightly used pair went for £35 not too long ago.

Markers? You can't go wrong with Eclipse. A second hand Geo 3.1 will run you about £250, a 2nd hand GTEK about the same.

As a shameless plug, I have a couple of Empire Axes - brand new - very cheap. Very good markers.

@Bak Man If you are looking to dip your toe back in, Paintball South run a walk-on (usually) last Sunday of the month. That's in Landford, 10 minutes out of Salisbury, Not so much sup air tourney (although plans are in place to put a field in). However there are a couple of teams that play UK Woodland Masters who play out of there, there are also regular walk-on players who play CPPS as well, so may be a good place to help you get back into the scene. Let me know if you want any more details, or take a look at our pages on Facebook.
