Normal service should now be resumed.
There was nothing personal (Except for the spammers!) and legitimate users including moderators, were caught behind blocked ranges, thus would receive a permanent ban message.
If you continue to have difficulty then identify your internet IP address using: http://www.whatsmyip.org/ and message us the info via https://www.facebook.com/UKScenario
Alternately try to login both using your computer and your mobile via 3G etc as they will operate on diferent IP ranges, then let us know which is still blocked for you.

Probably still the IP blocking at the time, but extra measures have been put in place for new members to make it difficult for the spammers

So the latest is that we have upgraded the forum software (something that was in the pipeline anyway, this accelerated it). Admin approval for new members has been lifted but they need to answer paintball related security questions, really easy ones.
As part of the process we deleted around 2000 members who had 0 posts as the vast majority of them were pre registered spam bots. Anyone real who had registered but not posted just email the admin at the blocking page and they'll sort you out.
