    Hello all,
i have recently decided to take up Paintball ( after meaning to for years) so have bitten the bullet and gone for it, purchasing kit slowly but surely.
My question is which mask is the best for people wearing glasses? I'm anchoring toward a JT because i'm currently bidding on one of their Vortex fans.
    Cheers

Contact lenses are you best bet, theres very little that will stop your glasses steaming up, especially if your running around a lot.

Ive had one of the fans before they just dont get enought air flow in my opinion, and reduce your abitity to hear.

I also wear glasses and you should find most goggles accommodate glasses. Clearly it depends on the size of your glasses though... ;)

There are other factors to consider when purchasing a mask, such as as size of the mask versus size of face, how much of the jawline you want exposed etc.

Not sure where you are based, but either get to a walkon and ask players if you can try a mask or visit a store and try them on before buying, you might find you have a preference

What you should also consider is having a pair of glasses dedicated for paintball.

Hi there, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately i cant do contact lenses ( irritate my eyes bizarrely) so have opted for smaller glasses which seems to have helped a bit. The last time i went to my local site i used one of the empire masks ( standard single lens) and i didn't struggle with steaming up but found them uncomfortable, i've been led to believe the JT Flex 8 is a good option for glasses wearers?

Where are you based? I think you should try them on. goggles are often a personal preference. Getting to a store or walkon will let you try before you buy

You should be looking to purchase lens which are dual pane / thermal which help reduce the steaming up etc. You can also apply motorcycle anti-fog, spit etc to help. Fans are ok, but you have to get used to the buzzing... and the odd looks from players around you as they try and work out what the noise is! ;)

Vforce Profilers my son, use to uses with glasses and they have been around for a while so post up in the wanted and should get a cheap pair... Then buy a new lense for £12 quid

He used Flex's as well and they were comfortable ;)

flex 8 are great for glasses so long as you don't buy the full head version. A bit of advice though, the vortex fan is worthless, bulky and noisy. The flex series do not fog anyway and of you find they do there are better fans foe your money such as the flexr fan

I have used several different masks, profilers, grills, flex 7, proflex, events and now eflexs all have been comfortable with my glasses. If you can try on as many different sets of goggles as yiu can to ensure they are comfortable and also as mentioned fit your face.

Hey all, thanks for the replies and the advice :) out of interest for players wearing glasses do you normally discover your glasses steam up before the mask? if so do you apply an anti fog solution to the glasses lenses, ive had a brand called Foggex recommended to me.
I am a bit disappointing to hear about the fan but as with most things i have seen mixed reviews, most stating its noisy but some stating its immense, if i win the bid ill try it out but won't loose sleep if i don't :)
