I have just bought an etek 4 after hearing loads of rave reviews from people on here. It seems for the money you spend £400 new it is one of the best markers on the market for the price, easy to maintain, service and repair. No major upgrades needed, great gun straight out the box.so I would defo reccomend picking up a secondhand etek2/3 for between £150/250

Eteks (or any Planet marker) really do the job and they can take a heck of a beating, almost the AK of the PB world

Is there any actual benefit to getting the AM Etek 4 over the LT? They only difference I can think of is you can't get the LT anno'd but apart from that is there a difference? Doesn't seem worth the extra cost to me.

I would stick with the LT, its only the trigger frame which is plastic, so you can still get the rest of the gun anno'd if you want. The LT is lighter also and tbh the plastic is a composite which dosnt feel cheap. Save your money for a decent mask/hopper/tank :)

I agree. Makes you wonder why people do buy the AM though. I'm sure they must have a reason but it is about £80 extra for a brand new metal. I'd save the money personally and spend it on paint and Jaffa Cakes.

The AM allows you to add the upgrade board with LCD screen. But, seeing as I set my markers up and leave them forever, I would take the lighter weight version myself.

Agree with above any Etek would be awesome! But you could pick up at decent invert mini for £150 and still have money left over for a hopper and tank if needed.

If you've got the inclination towards lots of lube and a willingness to see how things work - you can get a DM7 for around that price.

Mine's a freakin' warhorse :D
