Marker Tippmann X7 (with response trigger added), not a phenom

Problem
I was at a walkon today and after a few games and refills I had the following problem...
Every 6 shots my marker gave a fart and I had to cock it before firing again. Then it was ok again until I hit 6th shot again before having to recock. After about the 60th shot (10 recocks) it sorted itself out.
My pressure was good and there was no leak that could be either felt or heard.
My best idea is that there was a bit of dirt on the hopper rotator, but I would love to hear any other ideas that it could be, as it is a bit wrong to be in the open trying to shoot, whilst having to re-cock.
